A Job Shop for the Parts You Actually Need.

Capability

Machine Tech Services is a full-service job shop in Broussard serving Lafayette and Acadiana — CNC and manual machining for one-off repairs, replacement parts, custom components, prototypes and production runs across any industry.

Bring us a drawing, a sample, the worn component or the broken part. We turn, mill, bore and drill custom work for contractors, equipment owners, plants, OEMs, agriculture, marine, transportation, construction and oil and gas.

A large share of job-shop work is not a production program. It is one shaft, one bushing, one housing, one bracket or one obsolete component that has to fit the equipment already in service. Manual and CNC capability under one roof lets us choose the practical process for that job.

We machine materials ranging from engineered plastics through stainless steel, with capability for parts up to approximately 40 inches in diameter, from a single repair component through repeat production.

Custom Parts

One piece, prototype, repair and build-to-print machining from a drawing, sample or broken component.

CNC + Manual

Production repeatability when it matters, skilled manual work when a one-off repair is the faster answer.

Job-Shop Work

Shafts, bushings, housings, pins, brackets, flanges, wear parts and unusual components other suppliers may not stock.

Highlights

  • One-off repair & replacement parts

FAQ

Machining — Questions We Get

What is the difference between CNC and manual machining?

CNC machining uses a programmed toolpath, which makes it the right choice for repeatable production and complex geometry. Manual machining relies on a skilled machinist at the controls and is often faster and more practical for a single part, a repair or a modification. Machine Tech Services has both under one roof, so we match the process to the part rather than forcing every job down one path.

Can Machine Tech Services machine parts from my drawing?

Yes. Send your drawing, model or specification and we will quote and manufacture to it. We accept PDF, STEP, STP, IGES, IGS, SLDPRT, SLDASM, SLDDRW, DWG, DXF, JPG, PNG and ZIP files — including native SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD files, because we run both. If you do not have a drawing, we can also work from an existing sample.

How much does machining a custom part cost?

Cost is built from material, setup time, run time on each machine, any outside processing, tooling and inspection. Setup is a fixed cost spread across the quantity, so unit price drops significantly as quantity rises. Send a drawing and quantity to machinetechservices.com/request-a-quote for firm pricing.
