Excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, cranes and industrial equipment wear at pins, bushings, pivot points, shafts and bearing bores. When the larger machine is still good, replacing or restoring those components is often the practical repair.

For worn bores, line boring can restore size and alignment across pivot points and housings. When the repair needs new pins, bushings or sleeves, those components can be machined to the restored geometry in the same shop.

Heavy equipment parts are often obsolete, oversized or needed one at a time. Manual and CNC machining together let us handle repair work, reverse-engineer from worn samples and make custom replacements without forcing the job into a production-only process.

FAQ

Heavy Equipment — Questions We Get

Can Machine Tech Services line bore excavator, loader or dozer components?

Yes. Machine Tech Services provides shop-based line boring and bore repair for heavy equipment from its Broussard facility, including worn bucket, boom, stick, linkage, pivot and bearing bores. The same shop can also machine replacement pins, bushings and sleeves when the repair requires them.

Can you make a heavy-equipment part that is obsolete or discontinued?

Yes. Bring the worn or broken component, a sample, drawing or photographs. Machine Tech Services can reverse engineer and machine one-off pins, bushings, shafts, housings and other replacement components when an OEM part is unavailable or the lead time is too long.
